On the second day of the Reunion (Saturday, August 28th), Mark Goldsberry (Nancy's nephew, in the
striped red and white shirt), one of the teachers at the High School, was kind enough to take us
on a 3-hour tour of the school. He had a Master Key (well, so did we back in 1960), and we saw
classrooms, the weight room, career counseling, the library (Mrs. Willett would have been thrilled),
cafeteria, auditoriums and theaters, dance studio, swimming pool, band and orchestra rooms.

Inside the building

The Principal's Office has a window into the hallway.
A new transparency unknown in our day.

"Our" Hallway - this is the original hallway
where all our classes were held - still used for classes
though it's now a small part of the school.

Mark showed us a short video on the history of the Cherry Creek School District
Here are the first five minutes of the video (NB 49 MB - WMV format)

If you have a Mac, you might need VLC, a free translation program
for playing WMV videos. Click here for VLC Download.

Much to our surprise, Phil Huff, the cameraman for the classic film "Peration-X"
handed out copies to some of the guilty parties, I mean actors. To view it,
click on the image below. Warning - this is pretty big (64 MB) so you may
have to be patient. The film was made as a 9th grade English project in Mr.
Alum's class. Phil remembers that the class was given the assignment of
exploring different modes of communication and our group chose "film". Dean
Larson directed the film and Norm Hays was the "patient'. Gus and Hugh were
the "doctors" and the other actors were Larry Foster, Charles Methard, Stan
Pilcher and Roy Reno. Dean Larson plays a cameo role as the policeman (in
his band uniform) who chases the crowd off at the end. Phil is trying to
find a copy closer to the original since some of the action is pretty hard
to follow.
